Famed actor and notorious cool guy James Garner died Saturday at the age of 86.
If you're of a certain age, you probably remember Garner from the TV series, Maverick and The Rockford Files, and if you're of a later generation, you might know that he helped replace the late John Ritter's character in 8 Simple Rules.
But Garner also was a huge Raiders fan, especially when the team was based in Los Angeles. You can see him in the photo above with Todd Christensen during a game in 1986, and here he is hollering for his squad while wearing a trucker hat at Super Bowl XI.
And here was Garner's take on the Raiders victory against the Redskins in Super Bowl XVIII.
He also apparently was quite generous with his fellow fans during games.
@LesBowen I used to sit in James Garner's section at LA Raider games. When he bought ice cream bought for everyone in section. Great guy

But here's my favorite Garner Raiders-related item that I found Saturday. You can actually buy this right now on eBay for $15.99, or you can just ponder its attractiveness.
