  • Louis Trinca-Pasat: Released from practice squad

Trinca-Pasat was released from the Rams' practice squad Wednesday, Rich Hammond of the Orange County Register reports.

Since signing with the Rams as a free agent prior to the 2015 season, Trinca-Pasat went from the Rams' practice squad to becoming a backup and then, eventually, a starter. However, he's since been demoted in the exact opposite order and now finds himself as a free agent once again.

  • Louis Trinca-Pasat: Clears waivers, joins practice squad

Trinca-Pasat cleared waivers Monday and joined the Rams' practice squad, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Trinca-Pasat is heading into his third year but hasn't played a snap in the regular season yet. The Rams have a deep defensive tackle corps, but if injuries plague the line, Trinca-Pasat could be activated.

  • Louis Trinca-Pasat: Hits waiver wire

Trinca-Pasat was waived by the Rams on Sunday, Alden Gonzalez of ESPN reports.

Trinca-Pasat played in all of the Rams preseason contests, recording 21, 20, 17, and 33 snaps in each game. However, he was unable to make enough of an impression during his time on the field to make it to Week 1. He will presumably clear waivers and look for a new opportunity.

  • Rams' Louis Trinca-Pasat: Signs exclusive rights tender

Trinca-Pasat (knee) signed his exclusive rights contract tender with the Rams on Monday, Myles Simmons of the team's official site reports.

Trinca-Pasat spent the entire 2016 season on injured reserve after tearing his ACL last June. While it isn't clear if he's fully recovered, when healthy, he'll compete for a backup role at defensive end behind starters Michael Brockers and Ethan Westbrooks.

  • Rams' Louis Trinca-Pasat: Spends 2016 season on injured reserve

Trinca-Pasat (knee - ACL) resided on injured reserve for the entire 2016 season.

Trinca-Pasat, an undrafted second-year player out of Iowa, suffered a torn ACL last June and reverted to IR after clearing waivers. He's now set to hit free agency, but will certainly need to prove his health in order to receive another contract offer.
