  • 49ers' Upton Stout: Questionable for Saturday

Stout (concussion) is questionable to play against the Seahawks on Saturday. Stout suffered a concussion against the Bears on Sunday and logged an LP/LP/FP practice progression this week. Despite Friday's full session, he's been tabbed questionable for Week 18, which may mean he has yet to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol. If Stout is able to get clearance to play, including from an independent neurologist, he'll likely take on his usual role as San Francisco's starting slot cornerback for a battle with Seattle that will determine the No. 1 NFC playoff seed.

  • 49ers' Yetur Gross-Matos: Good to go for Week 18

Gross-Matos (knee) will not carry an injury designation into Saturday's contest against the Seahawks. Gross-Matos will be good to go for Week 18 even though he was unable to practice Thursday due to the knee injury that's been bothering him for the last week or so. The defensive lineman will likely operate in his regular reserve role behind Sam Okuayinonu and Bryce Huff versus Seattle.

  • 49ers' Keion White: Doesn't practice Tuesday

White (groin) did not participate in Tuesday's practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. White likely tweaked his groin during the 49ers' win over the Bears on Sunday, though it's unclear whether it's related to the same issue that limited his practice participation in early November. The third-year defensive end will have two more opportunities to return to practice ahead of Saturday's game against the Seahawks.

  • 49ers' Renardo Green: No limitations Tuesday

Green (neck) is expected to be listed as a full participant at practice Tuesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. Green has sat out San Francisco's last two games due to a neck injury, but he's in a good spot to begin the last week of preparation for the regular season. Provided there aren't any setbacks Wednesday or Thursday, he's on track to play versus the Seahawks in Week 18.

Gross-Matos (knee) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, Noah Furtado of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. • 49ers' Upton Stout: Limited to open Week 18 prep

Stout (concussion) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports. Stout entered the league's concussion protocol during the 49ers' 42-38 win over the Bears on Sunday and finished the game with four tackles (three solo). His ability to practice Tuesday in a limited capacity indicates that he is progressing through protocol, but he would need to be cleared by an independent neurologist in order to be available for Saturday's NFC West tilt against the Seahawks.

  • 49ers' Malik Mustapha: Tallies three tackles vs. Chicago

Mustapha registered three tackles (two solo) and one pass defense during San Francisco's 42-38 win over Chicago on Sunday. Mustapha played every single defensive snap during Sunday's win, but his three tackles were his lowest since Week 6 against the Buccaneers (two). The second-year safety is up to 71 combined tackles across 11 regular-season games, which is one stop shy from matching his total from his rookie campaign across 16 regular-season games. Mustapha should surpass that mark during the 49ers' Week 18 tilt against the Seahawks on Saturday, a game that will determine who captures the NFC West and enters the postseason as the No. 1 seed in the conference.

  • 49ers' Ji'Ayir Brown: Tallies four stops in Week 17 win

Brown registered four tackles (one solo) and one pass defense during the 49ers' 42-38 win over the Bears on Sunday. It was just the third time he's logged four tackles or less since taking over as the starting safety in Week 6 against the Buccaneers. • 49ers' Tatum Bethune: Game-high 11 stops vs. Chicago

Bethune logged 11 tackles (seven solo), including one stop for a loss, and one pass defense during the 49ers' 42-38 win over the Bears on Sunday. Bethune was one of five San Francisco defenders to play every single defensive snap and led both teams in tackles. It was the sixth time this season that he reached double-digit tackles in a game, and the 2024 seventh-rounder is up to 87 tackles (37 solo) and three pass defenses through 13 regular-season games. Bethune has a shot at reaching 100-plus tackles on the year in Saturday's regular-season finale against the Seahawks.

  • 49ers' Upton Stout: Done for night

Stout (concussion) will not return to Sunday night's game against the Bears, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Healthy scratch for SNF

Robinson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday night's contest against the Bears. Robinson will be a healthy scratch for the second game in a row as the team has opted to elevated Eric Kendricks for the second straight week. Robinson had appeared in all 14 of the 49ers' previous contests ahead of Week 16, and he'll look to get another crack in the team's final regular season contest in Week 18 against the Seahawks.

  • 49ers' Fred Warner: Could return during playoffs

Warner (ankle) is ahead of schedule in his recovery and could be a candidate to return to action if the 49ers make a deep playoff run, Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network report. Warner was assigned a preliminary recovery timetable of four-to-six months upon undergoing surgery Oct. 14 to repair his dislocated and fractured right ankle, but he's reportedly ahead of schedule to the extent that an appearance in the NFC Championship Game and/or Super Bowl LX wouldn't be off the table, should the 49ers advance that far in the postseason. Per Rapoport and Garafolo, however, such an appearance on Warner's part remains unlikely, and he'd be expected to play on a snap count in any case. Still, it's encouraging that Warner's recovery progress has proceeded so well, and even if he doesn't make another appearance this season, expectations are that Warner will be in 100 percent form to begin the 2025 campaign.

  • 49ers' Yetur Gross-Matos: Ready for Week 17

Gross-Matos (knee) doesn't have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Bears, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports. Gross-Matos managed to log consecutive limited practice sessions to end the week. The coaching staff seems to have determined that those practices were sufficient enough to clear the defensive end of any injury designation ahead of Sunday's contest. Gross-Matos should be all set to suit up as a rotational defensive end behind starters Bryce Huff and Sam Okuayinonu.

Darrell Luter will likely start opposite Deommodore Lenoir at outside corner in Green's absence.
