  • Lions' Dom Williams: Signing with Detroit

Williams signed a contract with the Lions on Friday.

Williams spent the past two seasons in Philadelphia but never saw any action in a regular-season game. He'll need to be able to contribute on special teams in order to earn the possible No. 5 receiver job in Detroit.

  • Dom Williams: Waived by Philadelphia

Williams (Achilles) was waived by the Eagles on Wednesday.

Since going undrafted out of Washington State in 2016, Williams has yet to make his NFL debut. An Achilles injury derailed his chances of cracking the Eagles roster in 2017 and he was ultimately placed on the team's injured reserve list. With Philadelphia bringing in some more bodies this offseason, Williams will be cut loose to make room. He'll need to demonstrate he's healthy in order to get a look elsewhere around the league.

  • Eagles' Dom Williams: Reverts to injured reserve list

Williams (Achilles) has reverted to the Eagles' injured reserve list.

Williams was waived/injury in early May and reverted to IR after clearing waivers. While the severity of his Achilles injury isn't clear, he could be out for a while if it's anything remotely serious.

Williams was waived with an injury designation as he nurses an Achilles ailment. He previously spent time with the Chargers during the 2016 preseason.

  • Eagles' Dom Williams: Signs with Eagles

Williams signed a future/reserve contract with the Eagles on Wednesday, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Williams spent time with the Chargers last preseason but failed to make the 53-man roster. As he enters his second season in the league, he'll look to find his way onto the Eagles' depth chart.

  • Chargers' Dom Williams: Leading receiver in win over Cardinals

Williams hauled in four of his team-high six targets for 55 yards in Friday's win over the Cardinals.

Williams obviously shared some chemistry with the backup quarterbacks on the night, as Philip Rivers did not play a snap, and he played the role of possession receiver in his impressive performance. The Chargers are relatively thin at the wide receiver position behind Keenan Allen, Travis Benjamin and James Jones, meaning that Williams could have a real chance of making the Week 1 roster if he continues to impress.
