Loudermilk (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Loudermilk's move to IR comes as no surprise after he sustained a high ankle sprain in the Steelers' Week 2 loss to the Seahawks. The 27-year-old played 45 total snaps (35 defensive and 10 on special teams) this season prior to injury but failed to record a stat. In Loudermilk's absence, newly signed DeMarvin Leal is projected to play a depth role on Pittsburgh's defensive line.

Loudermilk is expected to miss multiple weeks after sustaining a high ankle sprain in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Loudermilk was spotted in a walking boot after the loss. He played just six defensive snaps before going down with the injury. Loudermilk has yet to record any stats in the box score across 37 defensive snaps this season. With Derrick Harmon (knee) already dealing with an injury of his own and Dean Lowry (knee) out for the season, Pittsburgh's defensive line depth has taken a major hit.

Steelers' Isaiahh Loudermilk: Won't return due to ankle injury
Rotowire
Loudermilk has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Seahawks due to an ankle injury, Burt Lauten of the Steelers' official site reports.
Loudermilk appeared to suffer the injury in the first quarter on the same play that Seahawks' rookie wideout Tory Horton caught a 21-yard touchdown pass from Sam Darnold. The Steelers are already without Derrick Harmon (knee), so Logan Lee is the next man up on the Steelers' defensive line in Loudermilk's absence.
