  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Logs 55 tackles in 2025

Moore recorded 55 tackles (34 solo), including 1.5 sacks, six pass breakups, including one interception, and two forced fumbles across 14 regular-season contests in 2025. After starting all 15 games he played in last season, logging 98 percent of the defensive snaps, Moore started just seven of his 14 appearances in 2025 and played just 76 percent of the defensive snaps in those contests. With Charvarius Ward (concussion) and Sauce Gardner (calf) new to the team this season, Moore stuck to more of a sub-package role as the Colts' slot cornerback. Now 30 years old, Moore dealt with calf, Achilles and ankle issues during the 2025 campaign. The veteran is under contract through 2026 but could be a cut candidate due to his $9.49 million salary and $13.2 million cap number. The Colts can save more than $7 million in cap space by releasing Moore.

  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Ties career high with 10 stops

Moore logged 10 tackles (eight solo), including two stops for a loss, during the Colts' 23-17 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday. Moore finished Sunday's contest as the Colts' second-leading tackler behind Nick Cross (12). It was the seventh time in Moore's career that he has logged 10 tackles in a game, which is his career high. The veteran corner is up to 54 tackles (34 solo), including 1.5 sacks, six pass defenses (including a pick-six) and two forced fumbles across 13 regular-season games.

  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Upgrades to full participation

Moore (illness/ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. Moore upgraded to full participation Thursday after not practicing Wednesday due to an illness. The starting slot cornerback will be good to go for Sunday's divisional matchup with the Jaguars, a game that could be pivotal in determining the winner of the AFC South.

  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Dealing with illness

Moore (illness/ankle) was listed as a non-participant during Wednesday's walkthrough. Moore was listed on the injury report with this ankle injury last week, but he was still a full practice participant. Thus, it's likely that Moore's illness is what's keeping him out of practice instead of the ankle issue. Moore has posted 36 tackles (20 solo), five pass breakups, 1.5 sacks and a pick-six through nine games. Chris Lammons likely will start at slot cornerback if Moore can't play Sunday versus the Jaguars.

  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Full practice Thursday

Moore (Achilles) was a full participant at Thursday's practice. Moore's absence Wednesday appears to have been for maintenance purposes after he returned from a three-game absence in this past Sunday's win over the Chargers. He should continue to man the nickel cornerback role Sunday against the Titans.

  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Spotted at practice Thursday

Moore (Achilles) is practicing Thursday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports. Whether he ultimately goes down as a full participant or limited participant, Moore is trending in the right direction after sitting out Wednesday's practice. The nickel cornerback is probably just being brought along slowly after returning from a three-game absence in the Colts' Week 7 win over the Chargers. Barring a setback, Moore has a good chance to play Sunday against the Titans.

  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Leading tackler in win

Moore recorded eight tackles (four solo) in the Colts win over the Chargers on Sunday. Moore had missed the last three games with an Achilles injury but matched Camryn Bynum for the most tackles on the team during the victory. Moore has now amassed 18 tackles (10 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and an interception in four games, and he will look to add to his totals in the Week 8 matchup versus the Titans.

  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Good to go against Bolts

Moore (Achilles) is active for Sunday's game against the Chargers. Moore has missed the Colts' last three games due to an Achilles injury, but the veteran corner has been cleared to return for Week 7. With Moore back in the secondary, Chris Lammons should see his snap count on defense significantly decrease.

  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Expected to play Week 7

Moore (Achilles/rest) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers. Moore sat out of Friday's practice after opening the week with back-to-back limited sessions, but the veteran corner is expected to suit up for Sunday's road game, per Amanda Foster of the Colts' official site. Moore has missed the Colts' last three games due to a left Achilles issue, and his return will likely lead to less playing time for Chris Lammons, even with Charvarius Ward (concussion) being ruled out for a second straight game.

  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Takes part in individual drills

Moore (Achilles) will return to practice Wednesday and participate in individual drills, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports. Moore has missed Indianapolis' last three games due to an Achilles injury, but he appears to be making progress with a chance to return to action Week 7 against the Chargers. In order to be cleared to play Sunday on the road against Los Angeles, however, Moore may have to practice in full Thursday or Friday.

  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Logs DNP on Wednesday

Moore (Achilles) didn't practice Wednesday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports. Moore practiced in a limited capacity last week for the first time since sustaining an Achilles injury in Indianapolis' Week 3 win over the Titans. However, he's downgraded and begun the Colts' week of practice with a DNP, suggesting he's trending toward missing his third consecutive game in Week 6 against the Cardinals. The 30-year-old's practice participation Thursday and Friday will likely provide the best indication of whether he can return Sunday.

  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Dealing with Achilles issue

Head coach Shane Steichen told reporters Wednesday that Moore's injury has been clarified as an Achilles issue, James Boyd of The Athletic reports. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Monday that Moore was expected to be sidelined for a couple weeks after sustaining a calf injury in the Week 3 win over the Titans, but the issue now appears to be an Achilles injury. Despite the veteran corner's injury, Steichen noted that a move to injured reserve currently isn't under consideration. Expect newly signed Mike Hilton to contribute at slot corner while Moore remains sidelined.

Moore recorded two total tackles and one pick-six before sustaining a calf injury in the second half of the Week 3 win. The 31-year-old is a big part of Indianapolis' defense, recording 78 total tackles and seven passes defended, including three interceptions, across 15 games in 2024. In a corresponding move, the Colts signed Mike Hilton on Monday to help fill the void created by Moore's absence over the next couple of games.

Moore headed to the locker room after having his left calf looked at by trainers during the second half. Prior to his exit, he logged two assisted tackles and picked up his first interception of the campaign. Mekhi Blackmon and/or Johnathan Edwards may be given more reps in the secondary in Moore's absence.

  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Suiting up Sunday

Moore (hip) is active for Sunday's game at Tennessee. Moore missed two games with the hip issue, but he's good to go Sunday after turning in a limited and full practice this week. His return will represent a huge boost to a struggling Indianapolis secondary.

  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Could return Sunday

Moore (hip) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Titans. Moore upgraded from a DNP on Thursday to a full practice session Friday, giving himself a chance to suit up for Sunday's divisional matchup. • Colts' Kenny Moore: Ruled out for Sunday

Moore (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Steelers. Moore is one of the premier slot corners, but the good news for the Colts is they're facing a Steelers team that doesn't use a whole lot of three-wide sets. Jaylon Jones, Samuel Womack and Dallis Flowers look likely to be Indy's cornerbacks for Week 4.

  • Colts' Kenny Moore: Listed as non-participant

Moore (hip) is not practicing Wednesday. Moore was forced out of Indianapolis' win over Chicago in Week 3 with a hip injury, and his status will need to be monitored heading into Sunday's matchup against the Steelers. With Chris Lammons (knee/ankle) also not practicing Wednesday, the Colts' slot cornerback position could be thin versus Pittsburgh.
