  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Solid showing in loss

McMillan brought in four of six targets for 85 yards and lost a fumble in the Panthers' 16-14 loss to the Buccaneers on Saturday. McMillan paced the Panthers in receiving yards while checking in second to Jalen Coker in both receptions and targets. McMillan's lost fumble came on Carolina's desperation lateral-heavy final play, when he lost the handle at his own 36-yard line to quell any chance of an extremely longshot bid to score a touchdown with no time remaining. McMillan did manage to get over the 1,000-yard mark for the season with his production, finishing his first NFL regular campaign with a 70-1,014-7 line while appearing in all 17 games. If the Falcons are able to defeat the Saints on Sunday, McMillan will also have his first NFL postseason appearance to look forward to in next weekend's wild-card round.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Playing through illness

McMillan (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The star rookie was a late addition to the injury report Sunday morning with an illness, but despite the questionable tag, he was always expected to suit up. McMillan has taken over as the Panthers' No. 1 wideout this season, collecting multiple receptions in all but one appearance thus far, and he has five touchdowns over his past five games, including a career-high 8-130-2 line in Atlanta during Week 11.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Questionable due to illness

McMillan was added to the Panthers' injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Seahawks, with the wideout now being listed as questionable for the contest due to an illness. Fortunately for those considering the wideout in Week 17 fantasy lineups, Carolina kicks off among the early slate of games at 1 p.m. ET. If McMillan is unavailable for the contest, Jalen Coker, Xavier Legette, Brycen Tremayne, Jimmy Horn and Hunter Renfrow would be left as Carolina's available options at receiver.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Paces pass catchers, scores TD

McMillan brought in six of 10 targets for 73 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers' 23-20 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday. McMillan finished with team-high figures in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon, and he delivered the seventh touchdown catch of his career on a 22-yard grab just before halftime. The rookie first-round pick's catch and yardage totals were both McMillan's best over the last four games, and he'll next take on the daunting challenge of the Seahawks' secondary in a Week 17 home matchup next Sunday.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Back at practice

McMillan (foot/ankle) returned to practice Thursday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports. McMillan sat out Wednesday's walkthrough due to foot and ankle injuries, after which coach Dave Canales called the rookie wide receiver "day-to-day," per David Newton of ESPN.com. McMillan's ability to mix into drills a day later is a step in the right direction as the Panthers continue preparation for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Thursday's practice report will reveal if he was a limited or full participant.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Unable to practice Wednesday

McMillan (foot/ankle) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Joe Person of The Athletic reports. McMillan is sitting out Carolina's first practice session of Week 16 due to a pair of injuries. He wasn't listed on the team's injury report leading up to the Week 15 loss to the Saints, in which he tallied two catches for 25 yards on four targets, the lowest yardage total of his NFL career. The rookie first-round pick will have two more opportunities to retake the practice field ahead of Sunday's key divisional matchup against the Buccaneers. Head coach Dave Canales said McMillan is day-to-day, per David Newton of ESPN.com.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Overshadowed in loss

McMillan recorded two receptions on four targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Saints. McMillan tied for the team lead in targets, though both Jalen Coker and Tommy Tremble also had four targets. McMillan managed a 21-yard reception late in the second quarter to convert on fourth down, but he was otherwise unable to impact the game. He has now been held below 50 receiving yards in three straight games, though this performance also ended his three-contest touchdown streak.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Hauls in game-winning TD

McMillan caught one of two targets for a 43-yard touchdown in Sunday's 31-28 win over the Rams. While the rookie wideout was held in check for three quarters, McMillan finally got free on a fourth-down play in the fourth and hauled in a touchdown from Bryce Young for the go-ahead score. McMillan has gotten into the end zone in three straight games, producing an 11-208-4 line on 21 targets as he establishes himself as Young's go-to option in clutch situations. McMillan will get some rest during next week's bye before taking aim at the Saints in Week 15.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: WRs to Start

I was way off on McMillan last week when I listed him as the Bust Alert at wide receiver, and he scored 33 PPR points at Atlanta. He had eight catches for 130 yards and two touchdowns on 12 targets, and he should stay hot in Week 12 at San Francisco. The 49ers are No. 6 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, and four receivers in the past two weeks scored at least 17.4 PPR points against San Francisco from the Rams (Puka Nacua and Davante Adams) and Cardinals (Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch). McMillan will hopefully follow suit, and he's worth starting as a high-end No. 2 receiver in the majority of leagues.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Bust Alert (Start/Sit)

McMillan should be considered a borderline No. 2 Fantasy receiver at best in Week 11 against the Falcons, who held him to three catches for 48 yards on eight targets in Week 3. McMillan has one game this season with a touchdown, which was Week 6 against Dallas. And he's scored 11 PPR points or less in three of his past four games. Atlanta is No. 8 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, and No. 1 receivers like Mike Evans (10.1 PPR points), Justin Jefferson (11.1), Jauan Jennings (7.1) and Michael Pittman (3.9) have struggled against the Falcons, who are led by standout cornerback A.J. Terrell. This could be another frustrating game for McMillan on the road.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Five grabs in Sunday's loss

McMillan caught five of eight targets for 60 yards in Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Saints. The rookie wideout continues to be the most reliable downfield option in an underpowered Panthers passing attack. McMillan has at least three receptions in every game so far this year, putting together a 46-618-2 line on 77 targets in nine contests. He'll look for his first TD since Week 6 in a Week 1 clash with the Falcons.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Should play Sunday

McMillan (hamstring) remains listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday against the Saints, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. McMillan was a late-week addition to the injury report Friday after the hamstring issue resulted in him being a limited participant in the Panthers' practice session that day. Fortunately, the injury doesn't seem to be too significant for the rookie first-round pick, though it's fair to wonder if he'll be able to play a full complement of snaps. McMillan owns a 41-558-2 receiving line on 69 targets through nine appearances on the season.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Coach concerned by hamstring injury

Panthers head coach Dave Canales acknowledged Friday that there's "concern'" about McMillan's hamstring after something "popped up" during Friday's practice, Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer reports. McMillan was added to the injury report Friday, listed as a limited participant in practice with a 'questionable' designation for Sunday's game against New Orleans. Canales said McMillan took a few practice reps after first noticing discomfort, but the wideout was then shut down for the rest of the day. The Panthers will evaluate McMillan on Saturday morning, at which point the team may or may not share any new information. Canales didn't make it sound like the hamstring injury is serious, but he did seem to acknowledge doubt about McMillan's Week 10 availability.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Added to report as questionable

McMillan was added to the injury report Friday with a hamstring issue, and he's listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints, Joe Person of The Athletic reports. McMillan was a limited practice participant Friday, after not being listed on the report at all Wednesday or Thursday. Panthers head coach Dave Canales told Person that the hamstring injury "popped up" Friday.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: WRs to Start

Bryce Young (ankle) appears on track to return for the Panthers, which makes McMillan worth trusting as a No. 2 Fantasy receiver in the majority of leagues. McMillan actually played well with Andy Dalton in Week 8 against Buffalo with seven catches for 99 yards on 10 targets, and I like the matchup for McMillan against Green Bay. The Packers have allowed at least 16.5 PPR points to three No. 1 receivers in the past four games (George Pickens in Week 4, Ja'Marr Chase in Week 6 and DK Metcalf in Week 8). I'm hopeful that McMillan will follow suit, and he should be considered a solid No. 2 Fantasy receiver in the majority of leagues.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Just under century mark in loss

McMillan brought in seven of 10 targets for 99 yards in the Panthers' 40-9 loss to the Bills on Sunday. McMillan was essentially the lone bright spot for the Panthers in the embarrassing loss, easily leading Carolina across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets. The rookie first-round pick showed good chemistry with Andy Dalton, and the talented wideout's catch total was a new career high while his target tally tied his high-water mark over the first eight games. McMillan should remain busy in a Week 9 road trip to Green Bay, a game in which the Panthers may have to eventually take a pass-centric approach.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Overshadowed by Legette

McMillan recorded three receptions on five targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 13-6 win over the Jets. McMillan got the attention of Sauce Gardner (concussion) for most of the game, which led to limited opportunity and production. Ultimately, he was held to five targets and three receptions for the second consecutive game, combining to record only 62 yards in that span. Things could open a bit for McMillan in Week 8 against Buffalo, as the Panthers will almost certainly have to have an effective passing attack to have hope of keeping pace in the contest.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

I thought McMillan would score his first NFL touchdown in Week 6 against Dallas, and he ended up getting two. He finished the game with three catches for 29 yards and two touchdowns on five targets, and he scored a season-high 17.9 PPR points. But this week, McMillan could struggle against the Jets, who are No. 7 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. McMillan will likely line up against Sauce Gardner, and No. 1 receivers have struggled against the Jets this year, including DK Metcalf, Mike Evans, George Pickens and Courtland Sutton. All of those receivers scored at least 12.3 PPR points except Sutton, and Evans and Pickens scored touchdowns. That's encouraging, but McMillan should only be started in three-receiver leagues in Week 7 given the matchup.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Paces pass catchers in loss

McMillan secured four of eight targets for 62 yards in the Panthers' 42-13 loss to the Patriots on Sunday. McMillan had been listed as questionable coming into the afternoon due to a calf issue, but the rookie first-round pick kept up his strong play while recording a team-high receiving yardage total. He also tied with Tommy Tremble for the team lead in targets, and given the disastrous team outcome for Carolina, the talented wideout's numbers were respectable. The Arizona product has risen above the Panthers' offensive struggles overall to eclipse the 60-yard mark in three of his first four NFL games, and he'll look to capitalize on a favorable matchup against the shaky Dolphins defense in a Week 5 home matchup next Sunday afternoon.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Cleared to play Week 4

McMillan (calf) is active for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. McMillan took a questionable tag into the weekend after the calf issue kept him from practicing Wednesday before he logged limited sessions Thursday and Friday. The rookie wideout demonstrated enough progress in his recovery from the injury over the final two days of practice for the Panthers to sign off on him playing Sunday, and the expectation is that he'll be in line for his usual duties as Carolina's No. 1 receiver. After turning in a 14-216-0 receiving line on 27 targets through his first three games, McMillan could have more difficulty producing in Week 4 if he draws shadow coverage from standout Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez (hamstring), who is making his 2025 debut Sunday.
