Las Vegas waived Koontz on Wednesday.
Koontz joined Las Vegas in May as an undrafted tight end out of Texas Tech. He finished his final year of college with 21 catches for 306 yards and four touchdowns. He'll now look to catch on elsewhere to earn a chance at a roster spot for the upcoming season.
