Napoleon Maxwell: Waived by Bears
Maxwell was waived by the Bears on Thursday, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com reports.
Maxwell has had several stints with the Bears over the past year, originally signing with the club back in late April as an undrafted free agent. He'll now aim to join another team or practice squad in need of some extra running back depth.

Bears' Napoleon Maxwell: Back with Bears
Maxwell re-signed with the Bears on Monday.
Maxwell originally singed with the Bears as an undrafted free agent in May before getting waived on Aug. 2. However, with David Montgomery's (groin) status uncertain for the start of the year, the Bears will give Maxwell another look, as he could help add some depth in the backfield out of the gate. Maxwell accumulated 2,090 yards and 22 touchdowns on 392 carries across 45 games during his collegiate career.

Napoleon Maxwell: Done in Windy City
The Bears waived Maxwell on Sunday.
Maxwell joined Chicago late April as an undrafted free agent, but he'll now need to look for a depth role elsewhere. His departure coincides with Artavis Pierce (illness) being activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
