Bengals' Larry Ogunjobi: Placed on PUP list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Bengals placed Ogunjobi on the PUP list Wednesday with a hamstring injury, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.

Head coach Zac Taylor described Ogubjobi as day-to-day, but because hamstring injuries can be tricky, the team will likely play it safe with the veteran defensive tackle. Cincinnati will open preseason play Aug. 14 against the Buccaneers.

Bengals' Larry Ogunjobi: Signing with Bengals
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ogunjobi agreed Wednesday with the Bengals on a one-year deal, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The 26-year-old spent the first four seasons of his career in Cleveland and totaled 46 tackles (23 solo), 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble in 15 games in 2020. Ogunjobi should compete for snaps at defensive tackle with D.J. Reader alongside Geno Atkins.

Browns' Larry Ogunjobi: Headed for free agency
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Browns are expected to let Ogunjobi test the free agent market in March, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. The fourth-year defensive lineman recorded 46 tackles and 2.5 sacks over 15 games in 2020.

Ogunjobi, 26, becomes an unrestricted free agent, and the Browns may not want to pay what it will take to re-up him. The website estimates the lineman's market value at three years and $28 million. Ogunjobi has been durable -- he's missed four games over four seasons -- and productive, but his grades as measured by Pro Football Focus have tumbled each successive year following his rookie season, eventually bottoming out at a 29.7 tackling grade in 2020. The organization should have tackle Andrew Billings back at a less costly rate in 2021.

Browns' Larry Ogunjobi: Ready for Sunday's contest
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ogunjobi (ankle) won't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Following back-to-back limited practices to end the week, Ogunjobi has been given the green light for Week 12. The fourth-year defensive tackle has collected 28 stops and a sack this season. He'll look to clog up running lanes against rookie running back James Robinson on Sunday.

Browns' Larry Ogunjobi: Won't practice Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ogunjobi (ankle) will not practice Wednesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Coach Kevin Stefanski said that he expects Ogunjobi back at practice Thursday, so it doesn't appear that the starting defensive lineman's Week 12 availability is in serious jeopardy. With Myles Garrett (illness) already ruled out for Sunday's game in Jacksonville, an absence by Ogunjobi would be even more impactful for Cleveland's run defense than usual.

Ogunjobi had two tackles and half a sack in Sunday's 10-7 win over the Texans.

Browns' Larry Ogunjobi: Back for Week 6
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ogunjobi (abdomen) is active Week 6 against the Steelers.

Ogunjobi racked up 10 combined tackles through the first four games of the season but was forced out last week against the Colts due to injury. Despite only seeing the practice field on a limited basis this week, he'll be able to suit up and presumably take back his starting defensive tackle role.

Browns' Larry Ogunjobi: Questionable for Week 6
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ogunjobi (abdomen) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's divisional matchup against the Steelers, Andrew Gribble of the Browns' official site reports.

Ogunjobi has already missed one game due to his abdomen injury, but it looks like he has a fair chance to retake the field in Pittsburgh. He was limited in practice this week.

Browns' Larry Ogunjobi: Limited showing Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ogunjobi (abdomen) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Ogunjobi suffered the injury during Week 4's game against the Cowboys, but it appears that he's trending in the right direction. If Ogunjobi is forced to miss anymore action, Jordan Elliott is expected to continue to receive the start in his absence.

Browns' Larry Ogunjobi: Won't play Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ogunjobi (oblique) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Colts, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Ogunjobi exited Week 4 with an oblique issue and was subsequently sent for an MRI, and he'll miss at least one game as a result of the injury. Rookie Jordan Elliott is likely to receive the start in his place.

Browns' Larry Ogunjobi: Will undergo MRI

Ogunjobi (oblique) will undergo an MRI on Monday, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ogunjobi sustained an abdominal injury during Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Jake Trotter of reports.

Ogunjobi had two tackles before exiting during the second half with the abdominal injury. The severity of the issue remains unclear, and the 26-year-old's status should be updated within the next couple days.

Browns' Larry Ogunjobi: Back in action
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ogunjobi (groin) was a full participant during Wednesday's practice, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.

Ogunjobi missed the past week of practice while dealing with the groin issue but was back to work for valuable practice reps. The 26-year-old is expected to start across the defensive line again this season after he produced 50 tackles (35 solo) and 5.5 sacks across 15 games in 2019.

Browns' Larry Ogunjobi: Tending to groin injury
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ogunjobi (groin) didn't participate in Tuesday's practice, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The Browns' defensive line now has two starters on the shelf since Myles Garrett (hamstring) still can't go. Ogunjobi dealt with a groin injury last training camp but shook it off after a couple weeks, so at this time there's still reason to be optimistic he'll be ready for Week 1.

Browns' Larry Ogunjobi: Records six tackles in finale
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ogunjobi had six tackles in a 33-23 loss to the Bengals in Week 17. He finished the season with 50 tackles, 5.5 sacks and one pass defensed over 15 games.

Ogunjobi got out of the gate quickly with three sacks in the first four games and five over the first 10, but he fell off over the second half when Myles Garrett (suspension) and Olivier Vernon (knee) were not always available. He's recorded 11 sacks over the last two seasons as he enters the fourth and final year of his rookie contract.

Browns' Larry Ogunjobi: Suspended one game
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ogunjobi has received a one-game suspension for "unnecessary roughness" during Thursday's 21-7 win over the Steelers, per NFL Senior VP of Football & International Communications Michael Signora.

Ogunjobi intends to appeal his suspension and fine, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The 25-year-old's punishment comes as a result of his actions as Thursday's divisional tilt wound down, when he shoved Pittsburgh quarterback Mason Rudolph to the ground during a skirmish between the two teams. If Ogunjobi is indeed forced to miss Week 12's matchup against the Dolphins, Devaroe Lawrence and Eli Ankou will be candidates to see expanded roles on defense.

Browns' Larry Ogunjobi: Collects another sack
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ogunjobi notched one solo tackle -- his fifth sack of the season -- during Thursday's 21-7 win over the Steelers.

Ogunjobi is now just a half sack away from matching the career-best mark he recorded in 2018, and the Browns may be counting on him to lead their pass rush moving forward. With eight seconds remaining in Thursday's contest, star defensive end Myles Garrett incited a skirmish between the two teams after swinging a helmet at Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph's unprotected head. Ogunjobi proceeded to push Rudolph to the ground in the ensuing fight, with the defensive tackle, Garrett and Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey all getting ejected from the contest. Garrett will almost certainly be facing a lengthy suspension -- perhaps for the rest of the season -- for his actions, but Ogunjobi's fate is less certain. Expect the NFL to dole out punishment for Garrett and potentially others involved in the fight within the next few days.

Browns' Larry Ogunjobi: Notches fourth sack
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ogunjobi collected three tackles (all solo) and a sack while playing 41 total snaps in Sunday's loss to Denver.

Despite the 25-year-old suiting up in his season-low 40 defensive snaps in the game, he was able to take down Brandon Allen for his fourth sack, good for second on the team. Ogunjobi continues to clog up the middle, playing at least 80 percent of defensive snaps in each game while accumulating 25 tackles (21 solo) this season. He and the Cleveland defense will face a stiff test against the Josh Allen-led Buffalo offense for Week 10.
