The 49ers will have wideout Michael Crabtree Week 17 against the Cardinals.
Crabtree came into the contest listed as probable due to a knee injury. The club will also have Chris Culliver, Brandon Lloyd, Marcus Martin and Justin Smith. All four players were also listed as probable.
Bruce Ellington, who came into the game listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury, will give it a go. He's the only player listed as questionable who will attempt to play through his injury.
The 49ers have deemed running back Carlos Hyde (ankle), wide receiver Steve Johnson (knee) and safety Eric Reid (concussion) as out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
It is the second straight game out for both Hyde and Johnson. Hyde finishes his rooke season with 83 carries for 333 yards and four touchdowns while Johnson had 35 catches for 435 yards and three touchdowns this year.
Wide receiever Bruce Ellington (hamstring), cornerbacks Tramaine Brock (hamstring) and Perrish Cox (shoulder) and linebacker Ahmad Brooks (thumb) are all listed as questionable.
Michael Crabtree (knee), Chris Culliver (knee), Brandon Lloyd (groin), Marcus Martin (illness) and Justin Smith (back) are all listed as probable.
The 49ers are currently 6 1/2-point favorites against Arizona Sunday.
49ers wide receiver Brandon Lloyd is questionable to return to Saturday's game with a groin injury, while safety Bubba Ventrone (groin) and wide receiver Bruce Ellington (hamstring) have been ruled out, the team announced.
Both teams are dealing with multiple injuries on both sides of the ball in the high-scoring game.
The 49ers have listed QB Josh Johnson, S Bubba Ventrone , CB Tramaine Brock, OL Anthony Davis, WR Brandon Lloyd, TE Vance McDonald and DL Glenn Dorsey as inactive Week 14 against the Raiders.
Both Dorsey and McDonald had been ruled out prior to Sunday. Brock and Ventrone came into the contest listed as questionable. Ventrone has a groin injury. Brock has a hamstring issue. Lloyd was probable due to a quad injury, but will not play.
The 49ers released their final Week 14 injury report and listed RB Carlos Hyde (shoulder), CB Chris Culliver (shoulder), DT Ray McDonald (finger), WR Michael Crabtree (knee), DE Justin Smith (back), WR Bruce Ellington (ankle), WR Steve Johnson (knee), WR Brandon Lloyd (quadricep) and OT Joe Staley (illness) as probable.
Cornerback Tramaine Brock (hamstring) and safety Raymond Ventrone (groin) are listed as questionable. Offensive tackle Anthony Davis (concussion), defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey (forearm) and tight end Vance McDonald (back) were ruled out.
The 49ers take on the Raiders Week 14.
Six players listed as probable for Week 13 on the 49ers' final injury report are active Thursday, including running backs Frank Gore (knee) and Bruce Miller (shoulder), safeties Eric Reid (ankle) and Raymond Ventrone (groin), defensive tackle Justin Smith (back) and wide receiver Brandon Lloyd (quad).
Gore struggled in Week 12, managing just 36 yards on 13 carries, but he wasn't thought to be in danger of missing the key NFC West battle.
The 49ers released their Week 13 injury report Wednesday, and they listed tight end Derek Carrier (foot), tackle Anthony Davis (concussion) and defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey (forearm) as out for Thursday's game against the Seahawks.
Cornerback Tramaine Brock (hamstring), wide receiver Bruce Ellington (ankle) and tight Vance McDonald (back) were all listed as questionable, while running back Frank Gore (knee), wide receiver Brandon Lloyd (quadricep), defensive end Ray McDonald (knee), running back Bruce Miller(shoulder), safety Eric Reid (ankle), defensive end Justin Smith (back) and safety Raymond Ventrone (groin) were all listed as probable.
Offensive tackle Anthony Davis (concussion) and defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey (forearm) have been red-lighted by the 49ers for their Sunday game against Washington.
Listed as questionable are cornerback Tramaine Brock (hamstring), wideout Bruce Ellington (ankle), linebacker Dan Skuta (ankle) and tight end Vance McDonald (hip).
The probables are linebacker Chris Borland (shoulder) and wide receiver Brandon Lloyd (quad).
49ers running back Frank Gore (hip) and nose tackle Ian Williams (shin) were the only players labeled probable for Sunday's clash against the Saints in Week 10.
Tramaine Brock (toe), Brandon Lloyd (hamstring) and Quinton Dial (eye) were all limited participants in Friday's practice and ruled questionable. Dan Skuta (ankle) and Patrick Willis (toe) were unable to practice, but were still deemed questionable for Sunday.
49ers wide receiver Brandon Lloyd is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Rams due to a hamstring injury, the team announced. Floyd caught his only target before the injury, gaining 10 yards on the play.
49ers wide receiver Steve Johnson has played the role of star receiver in the past and has had pretty good success in the role, totaling more than 1,000 yards in three straight seasons from 2010-12 with the Bills.
However, in his first year with the 49ers, he's competing for playing time and targets with a pretty deep group of receivers that include Anquan Boldin, Michael Crabtree and Brandon Lloyd.
Johnson, though, is content with the situation. His focus is helping the 49ers make the playoffs, which would result in Johnson's first playoff appearance in his seven-year career.
"No frustration at all," he said, per CSNBayArea.com. “"(The) only sense of frustration is being a competitor, you know, wanting to do more. But it ain’t like there’s a bunch of pansies in front of me.
"It’s cool to a certain extent. When we get in those situations, in the heat of the moment, of course, I’m a warrior. I’m ready to go out there. We got great guys out there on the field. You can’t be frustrated. It’s not going to look right."
Though the 49ers have moved the ball well through the air this season, it hasn't led to much consistent success for their wide receivers, and that may not change much moving forward.
Anquan Boldin leads the team in yards, but has reached double figures in Fantasy scoring just once this season, in Week 6. He had 50 yards to finish third on the team in Week 7's blowout loss to the Broncos, behind both Steve Johnson and Brandon Lloyd. In fact, Lloyd and Johnson are both averaging more than 40 yards receiving per game, despite routinely finishing third and fourth on the team in snaps played among wide receivers.
The elephant in the room is Michael Crabtree, who should be the team's best option in the passing game. And yet, he has just seven more yards than Johnson on nearly 20 more targets. Crabtree has never really been a big-play receiver, but there is reason to think his current yards per catch number of 10.1 will rise close to his career mark of 12.7, which would obviously improve his value.
At this point, it is awfully tough to rely on any of the 49ers receivers, even if the team is putting the ball in the air 33.1 times per game, an increase of more than seven from last year. Crabtree might make for a nice buy-low candidate for Fantasy, but there also may not be much room for him to breakout until one or more players takes a back seat.
With under 30 seconds left in the first half Monday and the 49ers prepared to go the locker room with a 14-3 deficit, wideout Brandon Lloyd surprisingly saw cornerback Janoris Jenkins playing close to the line of scrimmage and peeking in the backfield. Lloyd blew by him down the sideline, and Colin Kaepernick hit Lloyd in stride for a stunning 80-yard touchdown.
It was Lloyd's only target in the 31-17 win. He'll visit the Broncos on Sunday night.
49ers receiver Brandon Lloyd caught three passes for a team-high 76 yards in the win over the Chiefs. He made a 38-yard reception plus an acrobatic 29-yard grab leading to the go-ahead field goal in the fourth quarter.
Lloyd drew five targets, second on the team to Anquan Boldin's eight. Lloyd, who entered Week 5 with just 33 receiving yards, visits the Rams in Week 6 on Monday Night Football.
Several 49ers contributed to the Week 4 win over the Eagles. Among them, wideout Brandon Lloyd caught two of five targets for 28 yards, and receiver Bruce Ellington scampered 15 yards on an end-around.
Tight end Derek Carrier hauled in one of two targets for 10 yards.
The 49ers declared cornerback Tramaine Brock (toe), right tackle Anthony Davis (hamstring), quarterback Josh Johnson, wideouts Brandon Lloyd and Quinton Patton, center Marcus Martin and defensive tackle Demarcus Dobbs inactive for Sunday night's game against the Bears.
49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters he expects wide receiver Brandon Lloyd to be healthy enough to play Week 1 against the Cowboys, the Bay Area News Group. Lloyd has been nursing a leg injury since training camp.
The following players will not suit up for the 49ers Thursday night against the Texans: Brandon Lloyd, Antoine Bethea, Anthony Davis and Ahmad Brooks.
The 49ers aren't ready to declare Steve Johnson as the team's No. 3 receiver. In fact, according to Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, the team won't "put numbers" on their receivers. Johnson is fight Brandon Lloyd, Quinton Patton, and rookie Bruce Ellington for snaps this preseason.
When asked if Johnson is the third wideout, offensive coordinator Greg Roman said: "It depends. It depends. I think we'll have some flexibility there."
49ers wide receiver Brandon Lloyd returned to practice Saturday, as he took part in individual drills according to reporters.
Lloyd had missed about a week, plus the team's preseason opener against the Ravens due to an undisclosed injury. He is battling for a spot deep on the team's receiver depth chart after sitting out the 2013 season.
