Groshev will head back to the minors after serving as a healthy scratch against the Islanders on Tuesday -- the third time this season that the blueliner has watched from the press box. Given the new rules surrounding call-ups, Groshev will have to suit up in the minors before he gets brought back up again.

Groshev was a healthy scratch in each of his last two appearances on the Bolts' roster. Still, with Darren Raddysh (personal) in doubt to miss Tuesday's clash with the Islanders, Groshev could be pressed into service. At a minimum, Groshev will serve as the emergency depth option for Tampa Bay.

Groshev was a healthy scratch in both games this week. He has yet to make his NHL debut, after the 23-year-old was selected in the third round, 85th overall, in 2020. Groshev had six assists in 17 AHL games before his recall.

Groshev has accounted for six assists in 17 minor-league outings this season. He will be an option for Monday's matchup against Philadelphia and could make his NHL debut if Erik Cernak, who was absent from the morning skate, is unavailable due to an injury.
