NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) Kevon Harris scored 19 points as Stephen F. Austin broke away after halftime and defeated Abilene Christian 71-61 on Wednesday night.

Cameron Johnson added 16 points and seven rebounds for Stephen F. Austin (18-3, 9-1 Southland Conference), which won its fifth straight game and maintained its hold on first place. Roti Ware added 13 points and John Comeaux 11.

The Lumberjacks were 26-of-52 shooting (50%) and were 7-for-13 from distance. Stephen F. Austin had 18 assists on 26 baskets, scored 28 points off 27 turnovers and had 14 steals, Harris leading with four.

Coryon Mason had 17 points for the Wildcats (11-9, 6-3). Kolton Kohl added 12 points and three blocks. Joe Pleasant had 10 points.

The Wildcats scored first after halftime for a 33-32 lead but Harris drained a 3, sparking a 10-0 run for the Lumberjacks who didn't let Abilene Christian come closer than seven the rest of the way.

Stephen F. Austin plays Sam Houston State on the road on Saturday. Abilene Christian plays Incarnate Word at home on Saturday.
