The upcoming season of "The Bachelorette" will feature two contestants from the sports world. Texas Tech senior offensive analyst Kirk Bryant is one of the contestants, while Sporting Kansas City's forward Khiry Shelton is also one of the 35 men who will be on the show.

Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire confirmed that Bryant will be on the show and said he has high expectations for him:

"We are going to get shirts, we're going to have an office watch party, we might have an office bracket," McGuire said. "Kirk is the brand. I told him if he doesn't get a rose, that he might not need to come back to West Texas."

Sporting KC confirmed the Shelton will be appearing on the show via the team's website, and explained why Shelton will be successful on the show.

"Sources close to the program indicate Shelton has a high probability of success in the coming season. Aside from being devilishly good-looking, Shelton is a humanitarian at heart as a prominent figure with the Victory Project, Sporting KC's charitable foundation," their website reads.

This season of "The Bachelorette" will be the first to feature two leads for the entire season. Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia, both finalists on the last season of "The Bachelor," will date the men for the entire season in hopes of ending with a proposal.
