Murphy (ankle) was removed from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Murphy still remains on IR with an ankle injury and will not play again this season. Now that he's cleared COVID protocols, he can return to focus on being ready for the 2022 season.

Giants' Kyle Murphy: Lands on COVID-19 list
Murphy landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Murphy has had quite an eventful season and he's now going to miss the rest of the campaign since this is his second stint on the injured list -- the previous one was in August, when he was dealing with an ankle injury. This probably means Matt Skura will play most of the snaps at left guard going forward.

Giants' Kyle Murphy: Lands on IR
Murphy (ankle) was placed on injured reserve by the Giants on Monday, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Murphy left Saturday's preseason game against the Jets with a left ankle injury after playing just seven snaps. He was seen on crutches and a walking boot after the game, which makes his move to injured reserve no surprise. Kenny Wiggins and Jonotthan Harrison are likely to garner the majority of the backup left guard snaps in Murphy's absence.

Giants' Kyle Murphy: Departs with ankle injury
Murphy left Saturday's preseason game against the Jets with a left ankle injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Murphy played just seven snaps in Saturday's preseason opener before suffering the injury, and he was seen on crutches and in a walking boot after the game, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. It's not yet clear when the 23-year-old will be able to return.

Giants' Kyle Murphy: Joins Giants' active roster
Murphy was promoted to the Giants' active roster from the practice squad Friday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
The 22-year-old joined the team's practice squad after failing to make the season-opening roster, but he's been promoted ahead of Week 10. Murphy should fill a depth role with most of New York's offensive line currently in good health.
