John Mitchell: Let go Friday
Mitchell was waived by the Seahawks on Friday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Mitchell signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on May 6 but now will work to earn a spot elsewhere. He caught 19 passes for 257 yards and four touchdowns during his final campaign at Florida Atlantic as a wide receiver, but he was expected to compete for a roster spot at tight end.
