Brewer agreed to a deal Tuesday with the Hanshin Tigers of Nippon Professional Baseball, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
Brewer threw 8.1 major-league innings of relief earlier this season with the Yankees and had posted strong numbers at their Triple-A affiliate, but New York released him July 13 and now he'll head to Japan to continue his professional career.
