Roberts was added to the Cubs' 40-man roster Friday, Tim Stebbins of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
A minor-league reliever, Roberts measures in at 5-foot-10, but he has a plus curveball and struck out 72 in 54 innings between Double-A and Triple-A last season. Now that he is on the 40-man, it seems he is poised to make his big-league debut in the first half of 2022.
