Varsho started in center field and went 1-for-3 in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Dodgers.
It's not surprising to see Varsho in center field, as the catching prospect added outfield to his defensive resume the last two seasons, but it is odd when the team activated its reigning starter in center, Ketel Marte, off the injured list prior to the game. At some point, Marte will enter the starting lineup, which means manager Torey Lovullo will have to find a new home -- possibly right field -- for Varsho when he's not catching. The 25-year-old prospect is expected to play regularly through the end of the season.
