The Giants have selected Foster with the 85th overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft.
Foster changed his approach at the plate in 2023 with Auburn, hitting the ball to the entire field. As a switch-hitter with solid pop, the shortstop has 15-20 homer upside while being a solid fielder, warranting an early-round selection by San Francisco.
