Mariners' Mike Freeman: Recalled from Triple-A on Monday
Freeman was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.
Freeman had cups of coffee with both the Diamondbacks and the Mariners this season, but he'll likely be in the big leagues for the remainder of the season now that Tacoma was eliminated from the Pacific Coast League playoffs. The 29-year-old hit over .300 at the Triple-A level in both organizations this season, but that production didn't translate to the majors in his other two trips up to the bigs (2-for-15, seven strikeouts). It'll be tough for him to carve out a ton of value if he can't fare better at the plate against major league pitching.
