Ramos threw a perfect ninth inning with two strikeouts against the Reds on Friday en route to his 26th save of the season.
After converting 24 straight save opportunities to begin the campaign, Ramos blew a chance June 1 and then gave up two runs his next time out in a non-save situation. He seems to have settled back down with back-to-back scoreless appearances this week. Ramos breezed through the heart of the Reds' order Friday, retiring Joey Votto, Jay Bruce and Adam Duvall on a total of 12 pitches. He seems well secure in his role but his margin for error is a bit slimmer with Fernando Rodney now in town.
