Madero was designated for assignment by Miami on Thursday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Madero has his contract selected by the Marlins on Tuesday and will be cast off the 40-man roster after giving up two runs over two innings during his brief time in the majors. It's the fourth time this season he's been DFA'd by Miami, and he'll likely return to Triple-A Jacksonville once he passes through waivers.
