Zamora was optioned to the Mets' alternate training site Friday.
Zamora spent a week on the team's big-league roster but did not make a single appearance. If he returns to the Mets at some point later this season, it will likely be in a low-leverage role. Robert Gsellman (triceps) was reinstated from the injured list in a corresponding move.
