Mets' Josh Walker: Dispatched to Triple-A

The Mets optioned Walker to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.

Walker made a relief appearance each of the past two days, so his demotion likely has less to do with the Mets' dissatisfaction with his performance than it does the team's desire to add a fresh arm to the bullpen. Lefty Danny Young was brought in from Syracuse in a corresponding move.
