Phillies' Freddy Galvis: Begins rehab assignment

Galvis (quadriceps) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Galvis was acquired in a trade with the Orioles at the deadline while still battling a strained right quadriceps, an issue he suffered back in late June. The length of his absence means he'll likely need more than just a game or two in the minors before he's cleared to return, though it's not yet clear exactly when the Phillies intend to activate him.
