Rays' Chris Betts: Promoted to Low-A Hudson Valley

Betts, who has fully recovered from Tommy John elbow surgery performed in July 2015, has been promoted to Low-A Hudson Valley from the GCL Rays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The 19-year-old racked up 42 at-bats in the Gulf Coast League, slashing .214/.364/.310 with a pair of doubles and six RBI. Betts went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in his first appearance for Hudson Valley on Wednesday versus Brooklyn.
