Rays' Cristofer Ogando: Optioned to Triple-A

Ogando was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Wednesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Ogando will return to Triple-A after having his contract selected Sept. 23, appearing in two games while in the majors. Over those contests, he tossed 2.1 innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out one. The move was made to open a spot on the active roster for Tyler Glasnow (elbow), who was activated from the 60-day injured list Wednesday.
