Rays' Edgar Garcia: Called up from alternate site

The Rays recalled Garcia from their alternate training site Sunday, Steve Carney of Sports Radio 620 WDAE reports.

Garcia will join the big club's relief corps as a replacement for bullpen ace NicK Anderson (forearm), who was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. The 23-year-old right-hander's first appearance with Tampa Bay will mark his team debut after he was acquired from the Phillies on Tuesday.
