Reds' Mike Freeman: Denied roster spot

The Reds reassigned Freeman to their minor-league camp Monday.

Freeman had been in contention for a utility role on the Reds' Opening Day roster, but his demotion leaves Kyle Farmer and Alex Blandino as the main contenders for one or two available reserve jobs in the infield.
