Reds' Shea Spitzbarth: Inks MiLB deal with Cincy

Spitzbarth signed a minor-league contract with the Reds on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old righty will likely report to Triple-A, where he held a 3.27 ERA and 1.32 WHIP through 44 innings last season as part of the Tigers' farm system. Spitzbarth has major-league experience with Pittsburgh in 2021, but he will have some work to do in the minors before the Reds think about giving him another shot in the bigs.
