Baddoo (concussion) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Baddoo has been on the 7-day concussion injured list for a week, and he'll serve as the designated hitter in Wednesday's minor-league contest. Manager A.J. Hinch said Tuesday that he's optimistic that the 23-year-old could return during the Tigers' current series against the Angels, so the outfielder could be activated as early as Thursday.
