Twins' Beau Burrows: Cast off 40-man roster

Burrows accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

Burrows was sent down by the Twins on Aug. 10, and he allowed a hit and two walks while striking out five in three scoreless innings during his most recent appearance at Triple-A St. Paul. He'll remain with the minor-league club but will lose his spot on the 40-man roster after Andrew Albers and Kyle Barraclough had their contracts selected by Minnesota on Thursday.
