Weiss was released by the Reds on Saturday.

Weiss made just one appearance for the big club this season, allowing four runs on a pair of walks and a pair of homers without recording an out. The 26-year-old also struggled during his time with Triple-A Louisville, posting a 9.00 ERA across 11 innings.
