Celtics' Jayson Tatum: Placed in protocols

Tatum will be out for Monday's game against the Timberwolves after he was placed in the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

Add Tatum to the growing list of Boston players in the protocols, which now stands at nine. The star forward could need to complete a 10-day quarantine before he's eligible to play again, putting him at risk of missing at least Boston's next four contests. Expect Jaylen Brown and Romeo Langford to serve as the Celtics' starters on the wing while Tatum is sidelined. Tatum previously contracted the virus last January, missing five consecutive games and then struggling to regain form upon being cleared to play.
