Hawks' Malcolm Hill: Gets run for shorthanded squad

Hill (hamstring) played 15 minutes off the bench in Monday's 130-118 loss to the Bulls, finishing with four points (0-0 FG, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and one steal.

Despite being listed as out ahead of the Hawks' Christmas Day game against the Knicks due to a hamstring injury, Hill still managed to make a two-minute cameo for his NBA debut. He was given the green light to play a larger role two days later and acquitted himself well during his time on the court, but the 26-year-old rookie likely won't see his minutes rise as Atlanta gradually returns more players from the health and safety protocols.
