Kings' Shareef O'Neal: Joining Kings

The Kings signed O'Neal to an Exhibit 10 contract Friday, but he is expected to be waived Saturday, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports.

O'Neal was at practice Friday, though he will be waived before the deadline for non-guaranteed players Sunday at 5 p.m. ET. The 24-year-old went undrafted in 2022 and played for the G League Ignite in 2022-23, during which he appeared in one game and amassed eight points and three rebounds across nine minutes. After being waived, O'Neal is expected to join the Kings' G League affiliate -- the Stockton Kings -- for the 2024-25 campaign.
