Pelicans' Kira Lewis: Third-year-option exercised

Lewis' third-year option was exercised by the Pelicans on Wednesday.

After averaging 6.4 points, 1.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 16.7 minutes per game during his rookie season, Lewis' third-year option was exercised by the team. The Alabama product will now be officially under contract with the Pelicans for the 2022-23 season. With the departure of Lonzo Ball, Lewis is seemingly in line to receive more minutes at point guard for New Orleans this season.
