Smart posted 12 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and three rebounds across 25 minutes in Thursday's 109-97 loss to Orlando.
Smart received his first start as a member of the Wizards while Jordan Poole (elbow) sat out for the second leg of a back-to-back set. The veteran guard shot the ball well and committed just one turnover, but the lack of assists and steals rendered his production rather disappointing for those that streamed him. Smart will likely move back to the bench and see his minutes drop if Poole is back in action for Sunday's game in Boston.
