Faried finished with 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, and one assist in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 121-111 loss to the Timberwolves. Faried dialed up another double-double, albeit in defeat. The 29-year-old veteran has accumulated 10 double-doubles through 24 appearances this season and proved to be a perfect fit in place of Clint Capela (thumb). However, with the All-Star break on the horizon and Capela slated to make his return to the lineup for the team's next game (Feb. 21 versus the Lakers), Faried's days as the starting center are all but over.
Faried compiled 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-5 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 31 minutes in the Rockets' 117-112 loss to the Thunder on Saturday. Faried's numbers continue to give fantasy owners plenty to smile about, as the veteran big man has proven to be just what the doctor ordered in the extended absence of Clint Capela (thumb). Faried now has four straight double-doubles, and seven in his last eight contests overall. With his minutes seemingly locked into the low 30s at minimum if he stays out of foul trouble, the eighth-year pro seems like a virtual certainty for a double-double each time he takes the floor, especially considering he's put up between nine and 17 shot attempts in nine of his 10 games with Houston thus far.
Faried totaled 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt), 11 rebounds, two blocks, one assist, and one steal in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 127-101 victory over the Kings. Faried delivered another double-double Wednesday, his sixth from the last seven games. Faried's rejuvenation has been one of the more surprising stories to come out of the season thus far. He is a perfect fit next to James Harden and Chris Paul and has turned back the clock since being acquired. Clint Capela is getting closer to a return which will likely signal the end of Faried's standard league run. That being said, he has certainly done enough to remain a part of the rotation and should be able to hold some deeper league value, even once Capela is back.
Faried finished with 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-3 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist, and one block in 34 minutes during Monday's 118-110 win over the Suns. Faried has recorded a double-double in five of the last six games, with the exception being a 23-point, six-rebound effort against the Nuggets on Feb. 1. Moreover, he matched his season high rebounding total in this one. Faried has proven to be a phenomenal fit and continues to benefit from the playmaking prowess of James Harden (and Chris Paul) in pick-and-rolls. With Clint Capela (thumb) hoping to return by Feb. 21, Faried's time as the starter will likely come to an end after the All-Star break. Nevertheless, until Capela is back Faried remains a fantastic option across all formats.
Faried provided 16 points (6-9 FG, 4-4 FT), 12 rebounds and one block across 20 minutes in the Rockets' 125-98 win over the Jazz on Saturday before fouling out of the contest. Faried's ultra-efficient performance was simply the latest example of his vastly productive play since joining the Rockets. The veteran has been just what the team needed down low in the wake of Clint Capela's multi-week thumb injury, as Faried has been able to serve as a strong complementary offensive presence while also turning in his signature efforts on the boards. The double-double was Faried's fourth in the last five games, and the fact he was able to do it in such an abbreviated span of time speaks to how quickly he's adapted to his new digs.
