The veteran big shot just 20 percent from the floor and failed to top even five points, but Faried was still able to affect the game in other ways. The 32-year-old's 15 rebounds were by far a team-high while he was also able to record six combined blocks and steals. Faired signed a G League contract with the Grand Rapids Gold on Wednesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Faired, who attempted to make an NBA return in February, spent his first seven seasons with the Nuggets and will now get to rejoin their organization as a member of their G League affiliate. The 32-year-old hasn't played in an NBA game since the 2018-19 season, which he spilt between Houston and Brooklyn. Faried saw a decent amount of playing time in Game 1 of the Rockets series against the Jazz, taking advantage of the blowout.
