  • Toppin provided 42 points (16-28 FG, 6-14 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and one block in 40 minutes during Sunday's 105-94 win over Toronto. Toppin had a career-best performance in this game, and there's a chance his strong end to the regular season might mean more minutes -- and a bigger role -- in the 2022-23 campaign. Toppin scored a combined 77 points over his final two appearances of the season and started the final five games of the campaign, averaging 27.2 points per game in that span. He could be in line for a bigger role next season, though that will ultimately depend on the roster moves made by the Knicks during the offseason.

  • Toppin dropped 35 points (14-22 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, two steals and one assist in the 114-92 win over Washington on Friday. Toppin drained six three-pointers to continue his solid start to April. The second-year forward is up to 19.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.3 blocks on 48.7 percent shooting from the field and 38.9 percent from deep in four games this month.

  • Toppin racked up 19 points (7-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-6 FT), five rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal across 43 minutes during Wednesday's 110-98 loss to the Nets. Logging a whopping 43 minutes, Toppin scored at all three levels while showing off solid moves as an attacker. His three blocks marked a season high and featured a highlight-worthy rejection on Bruce Brown. The 24-year-old has only logged 20-plus minutes 17 times this season, so it remains difficult to gauge his long-term worth and expanded productivity.

  • Toppin provided 20 points (7-16 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one block over 35 minutes during Sunday's 118-88 victory over the Magic. With Julius Randle (quad) sidelined, Toppin was able to make his second straight start at power forward. After posting 20 points, four rebounds and four assists Saturday against the Cavs, he followed up with an even better effort Sunday. The second-year Dayton product established a new career best with four three-pointers. With Randle likely shut down for the year, Toppin will likely start all three of the Knicks' games over the final week of the regular season.

  • Toppin racked up 20 points (5-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 9-9 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Saturday's 119-101 loss to the Cavaliers. With Julius Randle (quadriceps) expected to be out for the season, Toppin should continue starting and seeing increased usage, which could lead to more career-best performances. Toppin's 20 points represented a career high, with his previous high of 19 coming in a start in early January. In addition to scoring in double digits in five of his six starts this season, he's now posted four games with at least three assists in those nods.
