Matier did not receive a qualifying offer from the Predators on Monday, making him an unrestricted free agent, PuckPedia reports.
Matier split time between AHL Milwaukee and ECHL Atlanta this past season. He was a fourth-round pick by Nashville in 2021, and he has never appeared in an NHL game.
