Pettersson signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Ottawa on Thursday.
Pettersson had a goal and two points in 29 games last season with Rogle BK of the Swedish Hockey League. The 19-year-old was taken with the No. 72 overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.
