Reds pitcher Alfredo Simon didn't factor into the decision Saturday after giving up two earned runs on four hits and five walks in five innings and striking out five in his team's 4-3 loss to the Marlins.
Simon gave up a run in the first and another in the second, but he was able to hold the Marlins scoreless over the next three innings, even after walking three batters in the fifth. He owns a 3.08 ERA and 90:40 K:BB ratio in 143 innings. Simon is scheduled to face the Rockies in Colorado Friday.
