Daniel Winkler headed for MRI on elbow

Rockies starting pitcher prospect Daniel Winkler is scheduled to undergo an MRI after injuring his elbow pitching for Double-A Tulsa. Winkler left his start Saturday in the fourth inning after throwing a changeup, according to The Denver Post.

Winkler has been pitching like an ace for Tulsa, going 5-2 with a 1.41 ERA and 0.71 WHIP in 12 starts. He has 71 strikeouts to 17 walks in 70 innings.
