Joe Thatcher still a 'ways away'

Angels pitcher Joe Thatcher is still a "ways away" from a return, according to MLB.com.

Thatcher was hoping to return Friday, but manager Mike Scioscia said that may have been "a little too aggressive." He's been out since August 3 with an ankle issue.
