Jonny Venters begins light throwing program

Braves reliever Jonny Venters has begun a throwing program as he treads lightly in seeking a return to the mound after underoing Tommy John surgery a year ago.

Venters tossed a few pitches Tuesday after spending 10 days inactive due to the appearance of scar tissue on his surgically repaired elbow, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
