Jose Valverde tosses scoreless inning

Tigers reliever Jose Valverde tossed a scoreless inning against Braves minor-leaguers in an extended spring training game Wednesday, according to MLB.com.

Valverde struck out one hitter during the appearance. He's pitched three times since joining the team this spring. Valverde is supposed to be promoted to Class-A this weekend, and move to Triple-A if that goes well.
