Dodgers starting pitcher Josh Beckett finally earned his first win of the season Tuesday, in a 7-1 win over the Marlins.
Beckett limited the Marlins to just one unearned run in six plus innings on his way to the victory. He limited the Marlins to four hits and three walks, while striking out six hitters in 6 1/3 innings of work.
Beckett is now 1-1 in seven starts, while lowering his ERA to 2.38 through 41 2/3 innings of work. He will try to get over .500 in his next start, Tuesday against the Mets.
